Privacy Policy — Serialize AI

Overview

Serialize AI helps you turn files into clean, structured data you can actually work with. We built privacy into the service from day one — it isn't an afterthought.

When you upload a file, we process it to return the structured data you asked for, then we delete it. Your files are not stored after processing, are not used for training, and are not shared with anyone else.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service and keep it working well:

Account information. Your email address and name, plus your industry or use case if you choose to share it when you join the waitlist or set up an account.
Files you upload. The files you send us for processing. We hold them only for as long as it takes to process them, then delete them.
Usage data. Basic technical information about how you use the service — the pages you visit, the features you use, and similar signals that help us understand what's working.

How we use information

We use your information for four things:

To provide the service. To process your files and deliver the structured data to your insight store.
To improve the product. To understand how the service is used and to make it better for everyone.
To communicate. To send early access invitations, product updates, and replies to your questions.
To keep it secure. To protect the service, your account, and your data from misuse.

File retention & deletion

Uploaded files are deleted once processing is complete. The structured data they produce lives in your personal insight store — your space to keep, organize, and use as you see fit. You can delete anything in it at any time.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use your files or the data they produce to train models. Full stop.

Legal bases (Ontario, Canada)

Serialize AI is incorporated in Ontario, Canada. Under applicable Canadian privacy law, we rely on these legal bases when processing personal information:

Consent. Where you've given it — for example, by joining the waitlist or opting in to communications.
Contract performance. Where processing is needed to provide the service you've asked us to provide.
Legitimate interests. For purposes like security and product improvement, weighed carefully against your rights and interests.
Legal obligations. Where the law requires us to process or retain information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Delete your information.
Withdraw consent you've given at any time.
Portability — receive your information in a structured, usable format.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs, and we review our security practices on a regular basis. No system is infallible, but we treat your data as if it were our own.

International transfers

Serialize AI is based in Ontario, Canada, and some of the service providers we work with may process data in the United States. When your information moves across borders, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected to the same standard.

Children

Our service is not directed at children under 13 — or the applicable minimum age in your region — and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact legal@serialize.ai and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we'll let you know before it takes effect.
