Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Serialize AI website and service (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, visiting the Service, or using it in any way, you agree to these Terms.

Serialize AI is operated by a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. If you don't agree with any part of these Terms, please don't use the Service.

You must be at least the age of majority in your region to use the Service.

The Service is in early access, and accounts are issued to authorized invitees. Each account is for the person it was issued to — please don't share, sell, or borrow accounts.

Serialize AI processes files you upload and returns clean, structured data, stored in your personal insight store. Your insight store keeps that data organized into pages you can browse, search, and query — it's yours, and it grows as you use the Service.

The Service is currently in early access. Features may be limited, and access may be subject to availability as we scale. We'll work to keep things running smoothly, but availability during this period isn't guaranteed.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe, and for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, let us know as soon as you can.

Don't upload content you have no right to process. You're responsible for the files you bring to the Service and for making sure you're allowed to use them.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

You keep ownership of the files and content you upload. Nothing in these Terms takes that away.

We own the Service itself — the software, design, and generated interfaces, along with any content we create as part of operating it.

To provide the Service, you grant us the limited right to process your files: to extract, organize, and store the resulting data in your insight store. This right exists only to operate the Service for you, and nothing more.

Structured data produced by the Service is provided “as is.” We work hard to extract information accurately, but we don't guarantee error-free results. Complex documents may be misread, and details can be missed.

You're responsible for how you use the outputs. Please review important results before relying on them.

The Service is in early access. That means it may change significantly, certain features may be limited or removed, and the Service may be paused or discontinued at any time.

There's no service-level agreement during early access. When we can, we'll let you know about changes ahead of time.

There are no fees to use the Service during early access.

If paid tiers launch later, they'll be governed by updated Terms, and we'll let you know before anything changes.

You can stop using the Service at any time — just stop accessing it, or ask us to close your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. If we do, we'll let you know where possible.

You can request deletion of your data at any time, and we'll remove it from your insight store.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind — express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Serialize AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of business — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Serialize AI and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
